Aircraft over a Chinese skyline

Choose your flight

Airports, arrival timing and search links for all 12 cities

You book your own ticket — CathayMedGuide is not a travel agency and takes no commission from airlines. What we do is tell you which airport to fly into, when to land, and which hotel district keeps you closest to your hospital. Then we drive you from arrivals onwards.

1. Pick city

Your hospital decides the city. Start there, not with the cheapest fare.

2. Land early

Aim to arrive in the morning or early afternoon of Day 1, never after 21:00.

3. Keep a buffer

Add one spare night if your appointment date is not yet confirmed.

4. Then tell us

Put the flight number into the airport transfer form — we track it.

Timing rules that matter when you are also seeing a doctor

  • Leave at least one clear day between landing and your first consultation. Blood tests often need fasting and are done before 10:00.
  • Do not fly out on the same day as a procedure or a contrast scan. Ask the department to confirm in writing whether same-day travel is safe.
  • Book refundable or changeable fares where the difference is small. Appointment dates in Chinese hospitals can move by one or two days.
  • If you are connecting internationally, allow three hours: immigration, baggage and the transfer to your hotel usually take longer than the timetable suggests.
