How Cathay Med Guide works

You own your trip. We cover the ground.

Most medical travel companies sell a package that hides flights, hotels, hospital margins and service fees in one number. We do the opposite. You keep control of every booking that matters, and buy only the local help that is genuinely hard to arrange from abroad.

Step 1

Shortlist your hospital

Use the hospital directory to pick two or three realistic options by body system and city.

Step 2

Book your flight and hotel yourself

You deal directly with the airline and the hotel, so you keep every ticket, booking record and insurance claim in your own name. Nothing about your trip is bundled into a price we control.

Step 3

Read a day-by-day trip plan

Our written guides show what actually happens: arrival day, registration day, scan day, results day, and what is realistic in between.

Step 4

Add only the ground support you need

Airport pick-up, a medical interpreter beside you at the consultation, or someone to handle registration and payment queues. You choose each one separately.

What you always book yourself

  • Flights and airport changes — your contract is with the airline.
  • Hotels and apartments — your contract is with the property.
  • Travel medical insurance — buy it before you fly, in your own name.
  • The hospital itself — diagnosis, treatment decisions and payment are between you and the hospital.

Important notices

Medical: Cathay Med Guide is an information service. We are not a hospital, a clinic or a licensed medical provider, and nothing on this page is medical advice, diagnosis or a treatment guarantee. Hospital rankings and department strengths are summaries of publicly available information and change over time. Always confirm a diagnosis, treatment plan and cost directly with the hospital and with your own doctor.

Travel booking: Flights, hotels and travel insurance are booked and paid for by you directly with the airline, hotel or travel platform. We do not sell tickets, take payment on behalf of transport or accommodation providers, or hold client funds for those purposes. Links to booking platforms marked "affiliate" may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

Privacy: Health information is sensitive. Never upload medical records, scans or personal documents to this site. We ask only for the practical details needed to arrange local assistance, such as arrival time and the hospital you are visiting.
